I have not worn most of my wardrobe in soo long,….I have almost forgotten how.
This staying home (aka Pandemic) has certainly taken it’s toll on my ‘sense of self / well being’. I am that person who often got asked “You’re so dressed up, where are you going?”, with my answer usually being “Here.”
(Side note on this; a few weeks ago my daughter sent me a tik-tok (my first, and no I don’t understand what TikTok is) where this Absolutely Fabulous woman says “Quit asking women where they are going just cause they are dressed up. Ask yourself, why do you look like that?” This clip is so ME! I loved it, and have watched it way way too many times. LOL)
Yesterday while idly scrolling through Pinterest, I came across my folder labeled ‘Clothing Inspo’.

While I have all the required pieces to easily create both these outfits, it occurred to me, I am simply lacking the motivation. Therefore, I decided that today’s project, would be to play Stylist in my own PDR.
As I have not really purchased anything new in the past four years, and have purged so much in the last two, I am left with only my good solid items. However, as most are years, if not decades old, perhaps I need to rethink how to wear them. You know Jazz them up a bit.
Take for example these pants, which are extremely comfortable, but tough to wear.

Or so I thought!
It was only today that I realized; by taking them away from all the noise (aka color) of my PDR, I was able to see them in a whole new way.

And this is only what I came up with from my hanging tops. Who knows how many more great combos I’ll come up with once I add in tshirts and cashmeres… Not to mention how different each look would be with different footwear, handbags and accessories!!

Then there was this….

It was a delightful way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Now I just need somewhere to go!!
‘Shop your Closet’ Ladies, you may be pleasantly surprised what you come up with! If you feel you would like some assistance, I’m always happy to help.
