Spanish Beaches

August 13, 2018

In July I was fortunate to spend 3 glorious days on the beach in Valencia.

I have always embraced Topless Beaches (much to the dismay of my sisters).  Spending time on one provides a lot of insight and self-confidence, whether you choose to go topless or not.

There was NO ‘sucking in of the stomach’. Very few thongs, and even fewer one-piece bathing suits.  What there was; was lots of sun hats, sun screen, and smiling happy people.

I should point out, less than a third are topless, the rest having opted to keep their bikini top on.  But regardless of top or not, (it appears) there is NO self consciousness about their bodies.  These women are here to feel the sun kiss their skin, and to simply enjoy themselves.

Over the course of three days, I counted maybe 2 or 3 ‘perfect’ bodies. (‘Perfect’ as per Instagram Ridiculous standards).  Being on this topless beach cemented the fact; ‘Everyone has a NORMAL body’.

There is nothing you could have, that some other woman does not share.  Big belly / droopy (and I mean Droopy) breasts / varicose veins / back fat / cellulite / tiny breasts / one or no breasts / scars / birth marks / hairiness / etc.  You name it…it was ALL on display.  And they were all HAPPY!

I did however, feel sorry for the three young girls (tourists no doubt), who spent most of their time readjusting their push-up bikini tops (keeping their breasts unnaturally presented), and touching up their lip-gloss.

Every female, regardless of age, should experience a topless beach at least once.  That being said, when my daughter and I visited this very same beach, I could not convince her….
